Since April 2008, Michael Mercil may sometimes be found on the OSU central campus Oval where he is READING THE DAILY NEWS as a public service of the Department Art, Living Culture Initiative. For three hundred and sixty-five times (not consecutively) Mercil will read aloud from all sections of the given day’s edition of The Columbus Dispatch. Each reading is tallied and the newspaper is afterwards stamped and added to The Living Culture Initiative archives. ARTWORK
